Also, I can’t believe I’m typing these words, but as of this week, Okay McKay is officially a year old!
To celebrate our one-year anniversary, we’re doing two things:

This past year has flown by. After sharing our lives online for almost a decade, we started this newsletter as a more intimate way to connect and share the things we’re loving. I say intimate since most of the content we post on Substack is paywalled, which means a much smaller group of eyes are seeing what we post here as opposed to what we post on Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok.
Over the course of a year and 66 published issues, this newsletter has evolved as we have navigated what we want to share in this space. It’s been a personally creative journey for me as I have explored what topics to dive deeper into, played around with graphic design for pretty much the first time in my life and, of course, worked on my writing abilities. It’s been so fun to explore topics that don't feel right talking about on our other socials. We can get a little more taboo and risqué, if you will, on Substack, and we’ve enjoyed discussing different points of view with this community over the last year.
While we try to keep the content on Okay McKay light and positive, I’m excited to dive into deeper subjects in the coming months, and I hope you’ll come along for the ride.
