Purging is maybe one of the most satisfying things to do. I always have such a hard time starting it though. I’m my head I try and argue a case for why I should keep every item. But once I actually am successful in getting rid of it, it’s like a huge weight off my shoulders. I recently purged half (I’m not kidding) half of my closet. It was so freeing but also so wild to do. Anyways, I also have been listening to the TV of 1989 and agree 100% that “Suburban Legends” is the best out of the vault songs. It has been on repeat! It’s so good! Hoping you all enjoy this Halloween weekend! 🎃👻
Edison yesssssss totally know what you mean. you really do have to talk yourself into it when you're throwing stuff out. you almost need someone else there with you to really drive the point home!!
Thomas, your prose is beautiful. Thank you for sharing so much of your life with us. The kids are so lucky to have you as parents and you and PJ are lucky have one another as husbands. I’m sure your lives have plenty of challenges but you seem to meet them head on and come out on top ❤️
The fall is by far my favorite season (even here in Florida where, let’s be honest, there aren’t really seasons). I can’t wait to read Britney’s book and now I’m looking forward to checking out “Bodies”! Glad you guys quickly got over the “bang cutting incident”, like I said, you’re not officially a girl until you’ve cut your own hair. 😂 We have also played a version of keep and delete, but we called it peak and pit. 💙
I think I’ll drive north to see the leaf change. We don’t have a good showing here. I can relate to Riah. My seizures stopped when I was five because my skull grew enough to relieve the pinched nerve. I was stoned on phenobarbital for my first five years. Family dinners together nightly are the best. More families should do this. I want Finn Wittrock to be cloned. That would be more fascinating than a cloned sheep. I see myself visiting these podcast frequently. 👻
I too have been listing to 1989 (Taylor’s version) on Spotify. Agree with you that “Suburban Legends”, “Say Don’t Go” and “Is It Over Now?” are wonderful! But I’ve got a soft spot for “You Are in Love”!❤️
Wow, so much to absorb. Enjoying the clever conversations and deep thoughts you inspire with your writing. It’s fun, open and honest. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to. If I could afford the paid subscription I would do it.
It’s like I’m sitting in your house chatting over a glass of wine. Blood pressure lowered.
aw!!! so glad you settled in to read this issue. we're happy to have you here, John xo
