Always look forward to the newsletter! Thank you for being fantastic role models to someone like me, who felt isolated and alone for so long in my queerness! Now I have a wonderful fiancé, and seeing the two of you gives me hope! 🥰
I loved Anyone But You! I made husband watch it with me after little boy went to bed and even he loved it. The past with the guy playing piano while they’re talking had us laughing so hard we almost woke up the boy!!
The school board is an excellent place to start if you’re thinking of something like that. Any board, like a local head start governance board or something, is great. Husband is on the school board and he said it actually helps because he can understand what is happening in our district and advocate for better results for teachers and the students. It can be overwhelming at first, but he loves it. He has a great team, too! He ran for board early in our relationship after many conversations of what was not working as a teacher. He’s was a member for a few years, stepped back when I was pregnant with #1, and went back the following school year! Sometimes it’s a lot with his wild schedule but he always pushes for the best. He says it helps to be married to a teacher because he knows where we need the help!
I love that you try to have punishment fit the crime! That’s really how we are raising our kiddo, even though he’s so little. I try not to do time outs (😱), I use a lot of Conscious Discipline and try to remind myself he’s still little. He doesn’t know any different and we need to TEACH him. Husband had a hard time when he first started with the usual toddler stuff, but over time he’s so much better and more relaxed about things. Little boy doesn’t get to just do whatever he wants but he does have consequences that fit the crime and his age! And honestly he’s probably the best behaved kiddo I’ve ever met and I’ve taught anywhere from birth - 5 for 8 years!
Have an awesome week & little boy wishes you well💙💙

Loved reading the Q&A. I think you should fo these once every 3 months or so! Currently reading The Idea of You before I watch it. OCD like that, I have to read before I watch the movie.
Thank you, I think we will! It’s been about 3 months since our last one. And I wish I would have read the book first. I’ve heard it is a lot better and that they actually white-washed the movie from the book’s original characters :(
