Thanks for this week’s, Edit. It was nice to share all the information. There’s so much of it with which I can identify. It’s always a pleasure to read.

As with others’ comments, I’m liking the wall paint color, as well. I’m sure it’ll add that warmth you’re anticipating. I also agree with your choice to hang curtains. I think regardless of style or design curtains add the final touch to most window designs.

It was also quite interesting for me to read that you used to maximize your time and listen to your self-help tapes while commuting. I used to do the same, unwinding with various literature. I subscribed to Books-on-Tapes’ unabridged versions of those titles that I had previously read and those I hadn’t yet enjoyed. It was very special to me and a great use of my alone time.

Kudos to PJ and Ethan for all the care and kindness given to little Stella. What a wonderful result after the touch-and-go period PJ spoke about in the vlog. The photo of him comforting her even while still dealing with his own symptoms is quite an endearing moment to capture.

Finally, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention what a special picture of you, Thomas, modeling your “new vest!” I think the overall look you present is lovely - particularly with your recent haircut and the facial fuzz your sporting! Good for you!

Wishing you both all the best for a continued recovery. Feel better, soon! 🤗🤗

So glad that you’re on the final stage of that flu! 🤒 Hope you’re fully recovered soon 🫶🏻

I love the paint color! We painted some walls also a shade of green in the new home upstate, and the rest white (from a developer gray that we hated) and it changed the whole vibe of the house. It’s a 1850 multi-family house that was renovated into two apartments (we’re on the second floor) in 2020. Some original features were saved and they’re beautiful. I feel with only painting we could highlight them, and hide the boring lack of them in some other rooms.

I started watching Prime Target in one of our flights last week and I really liked it as well. I only watched episode 1, but Leo Woodall got me hooked for how many seasons they want to make LOL

I’ll take your book recommendation. I’m trying to read more but I’ve struggled with finding books that keep me captive. In 2023 I ended up reading 30 books, and gave myself a 2024 goal of at least 12. I only read 4. I started another 4 but never finished them. I miss that feeling of “it’s already 3am and I should be sleeping, but I can’t put this book down”.

I’m afraid I’m with the kids about no-no to chewy textures in food. But in cases like mushrooms I just chop them in smaller pieces so I can’t tell they’re there 😅

Have a great weekend!

Pablo (& Marcos)

Hello to you both, I’m glad you’re feeling better. It can be very draining when your not well & still have to do all the normal things to keep a house running. Last August myself & my Richard moved from Manchester (UK) to Bath which we wanted to do for years, actually we spent August to November in an Airbnb in a beautiful little town called Bradford on Avon while the purchase of our new home went through. A bit of drama at the end of our stay there as the town centre was flooded & we had to be evacuated on dinghies by the rescue services! Luckily the purchase had completed so we had our new home to go to which is nice, the walls here are also all white so at some point soon we will paint or wallpaper. I seem to remember recently you mentioned watching movies to enjoy the decor in the featured houses, well we love the movie love valour could compassion for that house & it’s decor as well as the story! I’m glad you have found a book you’re enjoying as I also love reading, if you like a cosy read with a gay story I would recommend a British book, look up handsome by Jack Strange. The build up to Christmas & a beautiful little Welsh town full of bookstores- Hay on Wye a real place! I think I might have gone in a bit so I’ll go now but I hope you stay well, take care!

OK. I need to chime in with a good word for mushrooms as well. I think they are so yummy and SO good for you, too! Several years back I went hiking with some friends, who are experienced "mushroom hunters." We picked wild mushrooms during the hike, which we brought back to the cabin and made into a wild mushroom soup. It was the most AMAZING soup! Although it has been several years, I can still taste it, it was that good!

I love seeing pictures of little "Skunk Face." So happy to see she is healthy and well! Love the new paint color you picked out, too. Sending positive thoughts that you both will be feeling 100% by Monday! 💕

omggggggg a mushroom soup sounds DELISH! I need to get that recipe and make it for PJ and I only, since I know the kids won't like it. hugs to you, Colleen!! xoxoxo

Sadly, I don’t have the recipe (long story). I’ve tried to replicate it over the years without much luck. I think what made the soup taste so amazing was because we used fresh picked mushrooms from the forest. (It’s just not the same with store bought.) Sending hugs back to you as well!

I guess I need to chime in here and put in a good word for mushrooms, which I very much like. I can’t say that I have ever been aware of having chicken cacciatore, but it certainly looks good. I have to say, I see you painting rooms all the time, and I look at the rooms in my condo, which probably haven’t been painted for a couple of decades. They could use it, but I think trying to paint them myself is a bit more than I can handle these days, and hiring somebody else to paint them is pretty expensive. So we’ll see what I end up doing.

yay! I need more people in my mushroom corner lol. what color are your walls, Lane?

If I remember correctly, my living room and hall walls are Navajo White, which is a sort of beige color. The walls of the two bedrooms, one of which I use as my office, were painted with a color called Cumberland, though when I google that shade of green, most of the pictures I get are not the same as the walls in my condo.

Stella is so darn CUTE, thank you PJ for bringing her back to Life and Adeline thanks you too. So glad y’all are Feeling Better and I’m sure you are ready for it to be over!!!

Sending Big Hugs! Take Care and be Safe.

Hopefully, you both are starting to feel better. Stella and Adeline are so cute together. Adeline will be lonely when you send her daughter to the farm full time. Love the curtains in the front room and the new wall color is going to be amazing. Painting is such a quick way to make a big change. The chicken sounds yummy; but, I’m with the kiddos concerning mushrooms 😆. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Big hugs 🤗♥️
