Yum! Pancakes are the best! Ive got fond memories of having pancakes every morning when we would go camping as kids. It was a tradition where all the dads would make pancakes while us kids would work on our plays for the parents. I made great progress in my PT today and started a new job at my dad’s law firm so thats been exciting. Yet I don’t really have any deletes for today.
Hi Alex! Congrats on the PT appointment and starting a new job!
I was just noticing that your childhood sounds a lot like mine. We loved to go camping with our extended family during the summer months. The dads would cook breakfast, moms would set out lunch, both moms and dads would help with dinner, and the kids would spend all day playing and just being kids (hiking, swimming, canoeing, exploring, etc.). But what we loved doing the most was creating skits for a family version of Saturday Night Live. Everyone took part, but it was mostly the kids putting on skits that would make fun of the parents. Our extended family was SO goofy and fun, there was no shortage of material to use for the skits! During the SNL skits we would be laughing so loud we would disturb the neighboring campsites! The best part, there was no alcohol involved. We just loved to laugh and have a good time!
We loved to retell the stories of how our parents all fell in love and then became friends. It was so fun. We would make potions and ointments out of leaves and mud and all sorts of stuff. We would camp with family friends all over WA state. Our favorite was between lake easton and deception pass
That sounds so sweet! I forgot about those magic potions. We would have fun making those, too! Our favorite camping spot was Lake Wenatchee. From there, we would hike up to Hidden Lake and spend the entire day swimming and catching salamanders.
I love Martha's recipe. Next time I'll try the vanilla, too. Sounds like an interesting additon. (Ina Garten has a great recipe as well.) I love breakfast foods for supper. I so enjoyed reading your "Breakfast for Dinner Dinner Party" a few weeks ago. 😋
Keep: a good R & R day after cleaning up from the previous night's dinner gathering. We also began to watch Berlin ER (Krank Berlin) - a new German series on Apple TV. It's really pulling us in! One of Netflix's latest The Leopard - an Italian limited series - is pretty special, too.
Delete: nothing to speak of...an overall good "cleaning-productive" and easy day.😉
The pancake idea was a great pivot. I use the recipe from The Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook that my mom got when my parents got married in 1955. It’s similar to the one you used. I love breakfast foods in the evening. Definitely easy to go overboard. Pancakes are yummy. Save some for me next time. ♥️🤗
Ted, I have the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook that my Mom used also, I’ll have to try both out and see which one is best. I don’t think Thomas will save you any, he will eat them All LOL.
I have to admit that lately I’ve been using Aunt Jemima (or Pearl Milling I think they call it now) Complete mix because I can do waffles with it too. I do like waffles. 😁

We would always have spaghetti for dinner on the Saturday. I don’t know why but it was just tradition.
I think spaghetti must be a camping staple!

Thomas Pancakes sound really good, but next time you could invite Ted and myself for dinner LOL
My Keep is that I’m still looking for a Laptop that I can Afford.
Don’t really have a Delete today.
Y’all take Care, Loves and Hugs to All.

I’ve been using Dollar General’s Pancake Mix LOL
Haven’t tried theirs yet. Dollar General is a good place to shop.
Yes cause it’s one of the closest stores for me , their Complete Pancake Mix is pretty good.
Yum! Can't beat breakfast for dinner! Sometimes you simply need to splurge a little on something that tastes so good! 💕
