Thank you for sharing your time and thoughts. the photos are amazing, the story of your family life is so open and honest, its so real. its humbling to be allowed to share glimpses of your lives.
Hey! There's nothing wrong with all white walls in your beach house! Beach houses tend to be sparse as who wants a bunch of stuff around to maintain when you're there to have a week of fun? Color choices in the things you need can bring splashes of vivid colors to make it cheerful. Themes like ocean, nautical, etc., as wall hangings, chair pads, and colored moldings, can add personality to your decor. Having darker colors on your walls can limit your choices of whatever you may like to add. Your beach house already looks great. Splash some color around, then enjoy it. Jerry
Love the cottage! I personally think you should keep the kids’ room natural wood! It’s like a time capsule into the past and there are so many ways you can style it to brighten it up. As for what I’m up to this weekend, I’m headed up to Northern Michigan (I live on the west coast of Michigan) to see the fall colors! Fall is certainly my favorite season as well and I’m excited to take it all in! I hope you all enjoy your time together as a family during fall break! Can’t wait for next weeks newsletter!
wow! the beach shack really is just that 😂, it’s so small, but of course you guys have begun to make it the cutest! the bathrooms both seem to be a good size and are gorg. i love the green cabinets in the kitchen and can’t wait to see it when it’s fully finished!
Leave the kids' room as is! We had a cottage on Lake Michigan growing up and our shared room looked the same. We filled our walls with pictures we drew, had shelves for special treasures and favorite books. It was truly our space and even at 70 I can still smell that room...the lake, the sand the magic. As we grew up it was the place we took our boyfriends for weekends...well you know. Love your new project. I miss having a guy beastie so you two are filling the bill for me! Cheers and big love yous!
As I was adopted in 1946 as well as my sister and brother my heart goes out to all adopted parents. Our parent never kept the fact we were adopted a secret from us

Yes I agree! I think I’ll be able to convince him to keep it wood. Northern Michigan sounds like such a great idea right now. Hope you enjoy!
Thank you! Definitely one of the top places to be in Peak Fall!

Right?! It’s soooo tiny we feel like we’re on top of each other when we’re there. But overall it’s so fun.

which, in our opinion, is the way to do it! our kids know they're adopted, too, and we celebrate their "Gotcha Day" every year ❤️
Another amazing read. Well done, Thomas (You said before that this is your baby). Looking forward to the next...👌🏽👏🏽🤗
oh Adnil! thank you so much! I am having so much fun with this
