You'll Either Get This or You Won't
On selling something we thought we'd have forever and why it was so much more emotional than we thought it'd be
Watch: Constellation
I am telling you right here and right now: Do NOT sleep on Apple TV+!!! They have some seriously great movies (Best Picture Oscar winner CODA) and TV shows (Outstanding Comedy series winner Ted Lasso), and the list goes on and on. One of those great TV shows is Constellation, starring Noomi Rapace as an astronaut named Jo who comes back home after being in space for almost a year and surviving a horrific accident on board the ISS, but when she gets back, things are…different. She remembers her car being red, but her husband swears it’s always been blue. Her daughter suddenly doesn’t speak Swedish to her like she used to. There’s a piano in her house, but she doesn’t play. Rapace gives a riveting, delicate performance that takes you on this journey with Jo, putting the pieces to this winding puzzle together each episode. It’s fascinating and I can’t wait to see how it ends!

Read: Getting to the Bottom of the Kate Middleton “November Photo” Theory
Okay, if you’re like me and only pay attention to the royals in passing, this post might not be for you. However, I can’t explain what my fascination has been the last two weeks over the Kate Middleton drama. Is she okay? Is she missing? Are we all blowing this entire thing way out of proportion and she’s actually just home in bed recovering? What’s with that horrendous photoshop fail and why does the palace’s PR think any of us would fall for it?
So many questions.
This article from The Cut attempts to break it all down and find out exactly when that photo of Kate and the kids was taken, since their clothes resemble what all four of them wore on a day back in November when they visited a Baby Bank to help donate items to those in need.
It’s a fascinating article, and a fun deep dive. At the end of the day, we truly hope Princess Kate is well and recovering from her surgery.
Listen: Deeper Well
Kacey Musgraves’s 2018 album Golden Hour is one of our favorite records in recent memory. Every single song is amazing and beautiful and tender in its own right, and there are virtually no skips. Her new album, Deeper Well, which came out last week, is a wonderful companion piece to Golden Hour. That is to say, it’s much more in line with the vibe of that album than Star-Crossed was. The feel of this album is very 70’s, peaceful, and woodsy. PJ talked about how he wanted to listen to it on vinyl this summer at Holiday House on our farm, and that pretty much sums it up. The best track is “The Architect” where Kacey poses the question, “This life that we make, is it random or fate?” before ending with the request, “Can I speak to the architect?” Other standouts are “Cardinal”, “Anime Eyes”, and “Dinner with Friends”.
You can listen to Deeper Well wherever you get your music.
One more thing: PJ’s little sister Montana Dane released her debut single (you can watch us jam to it in our latest Vino & Vent) called “Something I Need” and it is SO GOOD!!! It’s been in our heads for the last two months and the kids know every word by heart. Give it a listen! It’s Taylor Swift meets Maren Morris and I promise you’ll love it.
You can listen wherever you get your music!!
The end of an era occurred last week…
