Keep
Remember when I said we finished the last games of the season? I was sorely mistaken. We have practice Wednesday and games all weekend for their championships, so we’re not quite ready to hang up the basketball shoes and put their jerseys away just yet. Honestly, we’re both really excited because we genuinely enjoy basketball season and getting ready for the games and setting up our chairs on the bleachers and feeling the electricity of the gymnasiums (yes, even at a third grade basketball game, haha). So, even though I was excited for more free time, I am just as excited to give it one more weekend. The kids are, too.
Also, RIah doesn’t have to have surgery for his broken arm! He was cleared today to just keep his existing cast on it for the next three weeks, and then he’ll get a new, smaller cast after that. It’ll be 10 weeks total for healing time, and he’s game for the ride. We couldn’t be more proud of him if we tried.

The news and, in turn, what’s being posted on social media about the state of the world right now, especially with ICE, is incredibly heartbreaking. It seems to permeate every thought throughout the day because it seems so black and white to me. So night and day. So right and wrong. Renee Good didn’t deserve to die, and I keep waiting to wake up from this nightmare any day now while also in disbelief that we have three more years of it (and potentially longer after that). Sending you so much love tonight, friends. xoxo
What’s your Keep & Delete for today?

🏀📣 victory lap👏👏😂
I ran into my neighbor yesterday, and he skipped hello for, “I find myself thinking a lot about destiny.”
TLDR: trust you’re on the path, even in the messy middle.
Ugh. And YES. So clearly right and wrong 💔
So very pleased at the news about Riah’s arm. Yes, he is a little champion and although this has been painful and stressful to him and his dads, think of it as just one step on his life’s journey.
How did Anna’s 8th B/d celebration go? Sure it fulfilled all her dreams?
Did Allan’s team also have a successful season?
Team sports are so important to learn to be able to depend on others and to be dependable yourself on the raid to triumph. Old adage but a good one:” There is no I in Team!”
Hugs and love to you all, John
