We toured a house yesterday that was absolutely stunning. To be more clear, the land it was on was stunning. The house, while big and grand in a certain sort of way, didn’t end up checking all the boxes we were looking for if we were to ever move from our little Craftsman. We actually looked at another house the day before, too, that was big and on acreage but needed a ton of work, more than we feel like doing right now. They were both very different from each other style-wise (one was a Tudor, one was a farmhouse), but they both had things we desire in other houses: More land, pools, and more space for our kids.
Neither of them ended up working out, but it was fun to tour houses again and get excited about future possibilities. We used to tour houses all the time, especially when we first got together and after PJ became a realtor, and it reminded me of those sweet memories. I can’t think of anything more fun.

Now that we’re coming back from winter break, work has started to quickly pile up, with 3 or 4 deadlines looming, and by looming, I mean they’re due ASAP. I’m feeling very overwhelmed but reminding myself to take it day by day, which (sometimes) works. You, too?
