We had a small dinner tonight at Holiday House with friends, and the best part was, we didn’t have to cook! Or clean the kitchen afterwards! We did, however, spend about two hours cleaning the house beforehand, and PJ mopped all the floors and tidied up everything, which desperately needed to be done since it hasn’t happened in maybe six months. I know, it’s unacceptable, but who has the time these days? It was a lovely little evening and I am so grateful for our growing friend group. It’s something I never take for granted because we went so many years without one. I love that a group of gay guys can all get together for dinner and hang out and just be, especially in a place like Southeast Tennessee where you didn’t think these things could happen. Life is forever unexpected.

It’s official. I am sick. I can’t breathe, my cough is horrendous, and my head is pounding. I’ve been taking DayQuil all day and it’s helping, but I think this is just one I’ll have to ride out.
Keep: I love hearing about your dinner parties with friends. So happy to hear your friend group has grown!
Despite what we have been seeing in the news lately, it’s good to know there is still some positivity in the world. I learned today that my son’s high school will be celebrating “Inclusion Week” next week. The following is what was shared in our school’s weekly newsletter:
“Inclusion Week: Feb 3 – 7
Let’s celebrate Inclusion Week by showing that we ALL belong! 🌟 Each day, we’ll highlight the power of kindness, teamwork, and embracing everyone’s uniqueness. Here's the lineup:
• Monday: All Mixed Up Day! 🎨 Wear mismatched clothes to celebrate our uniqueness.
• Tuesday: Teaming Up for Inclusion! 🎽Wear your favorite jersey to show we’re stronger together.
• Wednesday: Shine Bright with Kindness! 🌞 Wear yellow to spread kindness and positivity.
• Thursday: We All Belong Day! 💜 Wear your school gear and school colors to celebrate unity.
• Friday: Be Comfy, Be You! 👚Wear your PJs or comfy clothes and embrace your authentic self.
Let’s make this week fun, meaningful, and inclusive for everyone. We’re stronger when we celebrate each other!”
So proud of my son’s school!
Delete: Thomas, I'm really sorry to hear you are sick. That is never any fun. Get tons of rest this weekend! Sending lots of hugs your way!
Take care everyone and have a great weekend!
Glad you enjoyed your dinner. Yeah, your group seems great. Sorry you’re not feeling well. Hopefully, it will be short lived. Big hug for you. 🤗❤️.
I had some custom table linens made to match my the vintage dishes I’ve started collecting. They arrived today and match the dishes wonderfully. So definite keep.
