Chris and Jacob Share Their Favorite Thing About Each Other
Plus, when they feel the sexiest, their must-have skincare products, and what a typical night looks like for them
Hi!!
Happy Tuesday, friends. How was your weekend? We’re coming back from an entire week spent at the farm for the kids’ fall break, and it was just the thing we needed. We’re home now feeling refreshed and restored, in that special way only the farm can offer.
PJ filled his days with yard work, organizing the farm, cleaning out our storage building, and redoing the front landscape of Holiday House (you can see what it looks like in last Friday’s Weekend Edit). Basically doing the most PJ things he could think of, which usually means doing the most work one could ever do but enjoying every minute of it. Not necessarily my idea of a great time, but he was living his best life.
Meanwhile, I spent it inside cleaning out the cabinets and doing a little organizing of my own, not to mention keeping up with emails, this newsletter, and the rest of the work that goes along with social media. It was a week well-spent, and the kids absolutely did not want to come home because, well, there are no trees or donkeys or sheep or chickens or hills or as many opportunities for their imaginations to run wild back in town.
But alas, we’re home and back on our routine before we leave town this weekend for Kentucky. We’ve never been but we’re excited to visit for a few days and check out some of what the state has to offer. We’ll be vlogging for YouTube and posting everything on our other socials of course, but maybe I'll do a travel guide of everything we did for Okay McKay? Thoughts?
Also, you can see this past weekend’s vlog here. Thank you all for making it our number one video out of our last 10!
In today’s letter, we’re so excited to be starting back our interview series here on Okay McKay! Our first one is with the endlessly charming Chris & Jacob, who we’ve been fans of ever since we came across their Instagram earlier this year.
Chris (left) is Scottish but was born in San Diego, and Jacob is British but his mom is Scottish and his dad is from Barbados. Are you keeping up?
They describe themselves as: “Two guys who have been in a long-term relationship for five-plus years, and who now share it online. We are two professional actors who actually met on a West End show (Broadway for the UK) called Nine To Five. That’s right, like most gay couples, it was Dolly Parton that brought us together and yes - we did meet her.”
See? Charming!
The best part? This weekend they launched their Substack called and y’all, it’s so good. Make sure you’re subscribed, and then read on to learn a little more about Chris and Jacob…
