Are Straight Men Becoming the New Gay Men?
As masculinity evolves, are straight men stepping into the light we've long cultivated?
Happy Wednesday everyone!
We’re gearing up for Halloween here at home and we have about a million things to do before tomorrow. Every year, we go all out and have a big Halloween party for family and friends, and it’s one of the reasons this is our favorite time of the year. You can see how we spent last year’s festivities here.
Our little town turns into Salem from Hocus Pocus during Halloween and it’s so magical. Streets close down for the thousands of trick or treaters that come knocking on our door expecting candy, and we have people in and out of our house all night eating hotdogs and chili. Halloween is one of the biggest reasons we love living where we do, which sounds crazy to say, but you just have to experience it for yourself to see what I mean!
Though PJ DIY’d his and has made it look incredible, ur costumes came together very last minute, which is a stark contrast to all the thought and planning that went into last year’s. But overall we’re excited about them and think you’re going to love them ;).
In other news, we voted today and it felt SO good to finally just do it. It’s been on my mind the last few weeks to vote early and it’s like one big weight off my shoulders (here is a website that should give you some info on voting early). I’m feeling very optimistic about this election, friends. By this time next week, maybe even when the next newsletter comes out, we will know who our next President will be. Ahhhh!!!! Yes, I’m nervous, but we’re taking one day at a time and doing what we can to stay busy to get our minds off it.
Sending you so much love if you need it right now. Take gentle care of yourself.
As I sit here channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw, I couldn’t help but wonder… are straight men becoming the new gay men?
The thought came to me while scrolling through a particularly lively group chat the other day with our best friends, a daily occurrence where no topic is too risqué and no thought too absurd to share. The topic of the day? A casual gym encounter that turned into a question for the ages.
