Love this Friday’s post 😭❤️ Sorry for the shortened version of my normal chaotic commentary, but things are getting ABSOLUTELY WILD over here as my semester ends in two weeks 🤪
But I was VERY happy to see that everyone seems to finally be feeling better in time for the big PJ birthday beach week. Thomas, genuinely well done quarterbacking the logistics of children, pets, sickness, food poisoning, beach packing, and emotional support duties to make it all happen. Frankly you deserve a tactical operations medal.
Also… we LOVED Project Hail Mary!! Although I actually saw it with our oldest son in NYC when I went down to visit him, so Tim still hasn’t seen it yet. But I’d absolutely recommend it to everyone. Completely agree it was too long though. About halfway through I started wondering if we ourselves were trapped in space-time.
And honestly the “real life” section weirdly made me emotional because YES. That is exactly what real family life looks like. Piles, baskets, chaos, random appliances in emotionally inconvenient locations 😂 Somehow the messiest moments are usually the most alive.
Anyway, happy PJ birthday week to the entire McKay cinematic universe 🥳
Hi both, first of all I have to say the biggest Happy birthday to PJ!!! Please let him know Thomas that he is loved by all of us! I hope you have a wonderful time at the beach after such a rocky start. Hopefully everyone is better now including the dogs? How is your cat taking it?
Here in the UK the kids break up for summer in mid July, but the don't go back until the first week in September. My eldest grandson only has one year to go before he starts high school at 11- it goes so fast, he was a tiny baby yesterday!!! Have a wonderful time loves, looking forward to the vlog tomorrow, sending you love and hugs and birthday wishes xx
I guess that's how it has always worked. I went to what used to be called secondary, or grammar if you were really smart, and stayed there til I was 16, then I went to FE college for 2 years. Although I could have stayed at school until I was 18. My grandson will do the same. Although I do know there are some areas of the country where there are middle schools too.
You have the sweetest heart! I love hearing (or reading:)) your thoughts on PJ and your kids! I follow you guys on rec and downloaded the app! My kids have another month left of school and then my oldest son is off to NYU in August! Happy Birthday PJ!! My birthday was yesterday!☺️Have fun at the Beach Shack!!!
he is SO excited for his 40s tbh!!! and yes, Ryan was looking SO damn good. I normally don't think he's that sexy (I know I'm in the minority here!) but in this movie he was so hot. ugh that cardigan! need.
Myself & my partner also loved project Hail Mary, for me though it could go on even longer. Loved Rocky! & that karaoke scene! We saw it three times at the cinema.

Your “real life” view reminds me of my own. Although I do my best to keep it all in order, it never seems to stay that way—and we don’t even have kids!😉 😊Wish them all a good summer break with good health and a lot of fun.
