Hi both, it's 12.45am here in the UK, but I just had to read the blog. I hope you all have a wonderful time together. As a mom and a nana I know what it feels like to have everyone you love altogether - your mom must be in her absolute element!

I remember a lot about Diana's life, it was all over the news, newspapers and magazines and TV all the time. My sweet mom and I watched the wedding, my mom didn't like her dress, I was 17 and I was enthralled. I remember when she died, I couldn't believe it, it was too awful. My girls were little, I do remember closing the curtains that day. Closing the curtains was a sign of respect and mourning for the one lost.

She was so beautiful and was finally getting her life back.

Sorry to get low, you all just enjoy each day, the present is all we have, sending all love and hugs xx

oh my goodness, Julie, I would love to sit down with you and talk all things Diana. as someone who had a first hand account, you must remember so much. I don't remember anything other than what I read now, but I have always been so fascinated with her life. I am sure you were absolutely crushed when she died. I am still to this day.

I was crushed, especially the way she died was so awful. A special memory was when she was holding the hand of the man dying sadly of Aids, it changed a lot for the good. She did that. Anytime you fancy a chat I'm on FB xx

Thanks for taking the time to do the weekly Friday review. It’s important for you to have a good time at the beach with your family, so I’ll keep this short. I loved seeing all the varied videos, again, of course, but I’m particularly happy to touch base while you all gather for a well-deserved vacation. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Hugs from NY, best wishes to all to be well, happy, and safe throughout your stay...🤗💞🌈🦄🗽

Ah summers at the beach. My husband and his children used to go to Charleston every summer. We lived in Cincinnati sp it was quite a drive. We stayed with his relatives. There are so many Filipinos in Charleston. They joined the US navy to get citizenship and then most settled where they were posted.

Its funny that we took them to do all the tourist things though they had lived there for years without doing them. Filipinos love to go crabbing and one year we went along. It was so much fun and we caught a lot. There were many barbecues with the relatives. We ate great Filipino food every morning and evening.

My husband was considered an important famiy member as he was one of the elders. He did so much to keep all his cousins, uncles and aunts and their children connected.

I miss him and life changed so much when he was sick and when he died. It has been 24 years since then. I have never dated anyone. Just didn't feel interested any more. We had 20 years together. And that's actually how much older he was than me. He made it to 65, I was 45. I am now 69.

Treasure your husband, children and family. Documenting everything (or almost everything), especially time with your siblings, parents, extended family and friends is rewarding. If you love them, make time for them and take lots of videos.

Happy memory making.

Savor every moment with family as you create these treasured memories at your favorite beach in Florida. 💛 Your perfect combo meal happens to be a favorite with my boys, too (minus the wine, of course!). You may have inspired me to give it a try myself, paired with my favorite Washington Chardonnay.

I have to admit that I’ve never seen The Princess, even though I have always been fascinated by the royal family. (Fun fact: My boys’ middle school band director had the honor of playing his trumpet for Princess Diana during her visit to the White House in 1985!)

Wishing you a wonderful Beach Shack getaway filled with sunshine, relaxation, laughter, and all the simple joys that make beach vacations so very special. Enjoy this time with your family! 💕
